COLUMBUS, WI. (Sunday, October 2, 2011). Gary Stark Jr. not only had the fastest qualifying laps and won the fast dash, he also had a little bit of luck on his side, as he crossed the finish line in second place, but won the 100 lap Bandit Bowl II feature event after the apparent winner failed post-race inspection at the Columbus 151 Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Tom Bleeker jumped into the lead at the start of the event from his pole position starting spot, but his rhythm was broken when the caution flag was displayed on lap four for debris on the racing surface. On the restart, Bleeker again jumped out to the lead, as Bob Kohn settled into second spot, with Mark Johler holding onto third. Haley Kapp began making her move towards the front, taking over third spot, while Kyle Stark began moving up from deep in the field.

Due to the poor weather conditions, the Bandit Super Bowl II has been postponed until next Sunday, Oct. 2. All the times will remain the same with time trials at 11:30 and racing at 2pm.

COLUMBUS, WI (Friday, September 09, 2011) Dousman’s Scott Patrick took control on the opening lap and survived several cautions to capture the 50 lap Late Model main event at Columbus 151 Speedway on Friday night. Patrick led every lap en route to picking up his first feature of the season.

Patrick and Nick Nolden led the field to green with Patrick grabbing the lead on lap one. Two early cautions gave Nolden a shot at the early leader on the restarts, but Patrick remained in control each time with Nolden dropping back into second. The leaders raced nose to tail through four yellow flags before the midway point of the race with Patrick continuing to show the way in front of Nolden. The second half of the feature race ran caution free as Patrick stretched his advantage with every passing circuit. At the checkers, it was Patrick with a commanding edge for the win followed by Nolden in second. Luke Hoffman, Brady Liddle and Casey Johnson rounded out the top five.

Due to inclement weather, the racing scheduled for Sept 2 has been postponed until Friday, Sept 9. Subsequently, Season Championships have been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept 11 with time trials at 12:30 and racing at 2pm.

COLUMBUS, WI (Friday, August 26, 2011) Al Weishoff of Columbus started on the pole and held off the current point leader, Ron Bishofberger to capture the 35 lap Late Model feature at Columbus 151 Speedway on Friday night. Weishoff led every lap as on his way to his first feature win of the 2011 season.

Weishoff and Bishofberger paced the field to green with Weishoff grabbing the lead on lap one as Bishofberger pulled in line behind him for second. After a quick caution on lap two, Weishoff maintained his lead as he and Bishofberger started to pull away from the pack. The top two continued to stretch their advantage while Jerry Eckhardt tried to hold on to the third spot. With two laps remaining, Bishofberger pulled up to the rear bumper of Weishoff to attempt one more pass for the lead. But Weishoff held tough on the point to see the checkers first with Bishofberger right behind for second. Eckhardt hung on to finish third with Jerry Auby and Michael Clapper rounding out the top five.

Due to wet weather, the racing aciton scheduled for Friday, August 12, has been canceled.
